Ways to Stay Fit During the Holidays

During the holiday season, it takes a lot of will power not to gain weight. Honestly, I think that you should indulge just a teensy bit! I mean its one week out of 52! But, for all of you who want to be good this holiday season I have some tips for you.

Eat before you go to the party. That way the snacks, appetizers, and desserts look a little less enticing. 

Before you go to the party make a pact with yourself that you can only have one sweet. Or if you are going with a friend have them monitor what you eat also.

Exercise as you normally would. Don't make excuses just because it is the holiday season. If you have family around that you don't normally see suggest to go for a walk or a bike ride.

12 Days of Christmas #5

5th Day of Christmas

On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me 5 golden rings, 4 calling birds, 3 french hens, 2 turtle doves, and a partridge in a pair tree.

On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me a second cute holiday hairstyle! The hair style that I love for the holidays is a half-up half-down hairstyle! This is so cute because your hair is style down, but it is away from your face! I am going to show you two ways to do this hairstyle! A festive way and more sophisticated way. I hope you enjoy!

Sophisticated Look

1.                   Part your hair the way you normally would.

2.                  Prime your hair with a heat protector.

3.                  Section your hair into two sections with a clip.

4.                  Curl your hair with a 1 inch curling iron. If your iron has a clamp, hold the clamp up a flip the iron upside down and wrap your hair around it. If your iron doesn’t have a clamp, curl as you normally would. We are going for a soft curl look.

5.                  Repeat this for the entire head but flip which way your curl the hair. You can do this by starting on a different side of the iron.

6.                  Loosely pull back you hair starting at your ears and continuing for about an inch.

7.                  Do this for both sides.

8.                 Be sure your hair is loose and pull to the back of your head.

9.                  Secure this with a hair band.

10.              Twist the hair in the band around your finger.

11.               Take that hair and spiral your hair around itself.

12.              Pin in place with bobby pins.

13.              Hairspray in place!

14.              You’re done!!                                         

Festive Look

1.                   Part your hair the way you normally would.

2.                  Prime your hair with a heat protector.

3.                  Section your hair into two sections with a clip.

13.              Add a festive bow to cover hair band.

14.              You’re done!!

2nd Day of Christmas

On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree.

On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me a great family event outfit! I love wearing sweater dresses in winter! You can dress them up or down! In this post I will show you how to dress one up for the holidays, but still look trendy. This look is also great for any school holiday field trips that you have to dress up for. I hope to wear the look when I go to  a performance of the Christmas Carol! I hope you enjoy this look!

So, the look I have prepared is a sweater dress with cream tights and booties. This look is very classy and sweet with the innocent dress and tights, so I decided to add a pair of booties to spice it up and really give it a wintery flare. The dress I have chosen is gold with cowl neck and military detailing. The tights are floral lace in the color cream. Finally, the boots are Jellypop lace up booties, which are pretty much high heeled work boots.
